If you possess happy feet that move uncontrollably when you hear a samba beat,  Jill Eathorne Bahr’s "Road to Rio" is ideal for you.

Rio de Janeiro, known as "the wonderful city," is more than just a beautiful accident of geography and history. a major character of our lives, like a being greater than its buildings, streets, beaches and mountains.

Touted  as the most visited city in the southern hemisphere and known for its natural settings, Rio is the home of carnival celebrations, samba, Bossa Nova, beaches such as Barra da Tijuca, Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon.

Rio de Janeiro’s iconic landscape, marked by soaring granite facades that drop into the ocean and white-sand beaches that go on for miles, is now an choreographic inspiration for CBT resident choreographer.  Live music in Rio is an essential part of nightlife in this city. It´s everywhere - in the cornerbar, on the beach and in live clubs. It is easy to say that samba is in the soul of this city because Rio de Janeiro is recognized for the artistic inspiration it has provided to musicians, landscapers and urbanists.
