Volunteer Opportunities

Charleston Ballet Theatre relies on the support of volunteers, and offers internships for those interested in learning more about the world of dance.

Administration Support:   Administrative Volunteers are vital team members of this organization. Administrative Volunteers are responsible for providing clerical assistance for the Charleston Ballet Theatre staff. This is an also a great opportunity for students to gain valuable work experience in a professional arts environment. Some examples of service include:

 • Filing

• Typing Correspondences

• Data Processing

• Mailings

• Office Organization

• Answering Phones

 Performances:  The busiest time of the season for staff is during performances. Charleston Ballet Theatre needs 5 - 8 volunteers to assist staff with Front of the House duties at each performance. Performance volunteers opportunities include:

 • Selling Merchandise

• Greeting patrons

• Ushering at the Center for Dance Education  Performances

 Special Events: creates spectacular fundraising opportunities in support Charleston Ballet Theatre. Events are festive and dance inspired, connecting company dancers, patrons and the Charleston community. CBT events leap off the stage into surprise spots though out the city.  These events and programs are successful due to strong volunteer participation.  An important way of supporting Charleston Ballet Theatre  is by not only attending fantastic fundraising events, but also to help organize the events. Volunteer opportunities include:

 • Host or Hostess

• Planning and Organizing Events

• Obtaining Sponsorships
