BROADWAY DANCE PROJECT
“They are the stars of tomorrow. These hopefuls dream of being in a show, of seeing their name on a Broadway marquis.
Many of them probably will."
- Jill Eathorne-Bahr, CBT Resident Choreographer
SETTING THE STAGE
The Broadway Dance Project provides students every opportunity and advantage to achieve their goal as a dancer. Whether it be on the Broadway stage, a member of a professional dance company or to simply have fun and enriching experience, the Broadway Dance Project is the ultimate learning and performing musical theatre program for talented kids.
Directed by CBT Principal Dancer and Ballet Master Stephen Gabriel, Broadway Dance Project is an opportunity that is much different than the normal end-of-the-year dance performance. For male and female dancers age 9-17 who may want a Broadway career or just enjoy high-spirited dance, this is an opportunity not to be missed! The glorious tradition of the Broadway musical from Irving Berlin to Rodgers and Hammerstein will be explored. Even Cats and Les Mis. The Broadway Dance Project will be a sharp-eyed view of the whole span of Broadway musical history embracing seven decades of brilliant achievements. It is an energetic blend of musical history, analysis and backstage advice.
