JAZZ AND HIP HOP
Brittney Carimi, a native of Memphis, TN, is the Head Coach, choreographer and creator of the National Championship winning Crusaderettes Dance Team at Christ our King-Stella Maris School in Mount Pleasant, where she also directs the entire Spirit Program including the middle school cheer team and the Junior Pom Squad. Brittney danced competitively in the styles of Pom, Jazz & Hip Hop at Christian Brothers High School and at Mississippi State University, where she also served as Captain and choreographer. She has been coaching competitive dance teams in Tennessee, Mississippi and South Carolina for over 20 years. She has also judged numerous auditions and competitions across the southeast. Several of her dancers have continued to dance in college, coach/teach professionally and manage their own dance studios.
Brittney has collaborated with renowned hop hop choreographers, Michelle Vaughn, Christopher “Zondaflex” Tyler, Barry Youngblood, Angel Roberts and Patrice Christian. Brittney has also worked as a professional fitness trainer with extensive training in health & wellness.
Brittney is married to Robert Carimi and has 3 daughters, Holland, Sutton & Macayle. She performed in the 2017 Charleston Ballet Center for Dance production of the Nutcracker and is thrilled to be joining the team!
